IHC comprises one administration division and five operational divisions. These are Corporate, Denver, Midwest, Southwest, West Division, and New Mexico. Each division has its own manager, equipment, and dedicated focus.
IHC's corporate headquarters are located in Englewood, a southern suburb of Denver, Colorado. It currently maintains a level of 18 full-time staff, operating and managing all administrative, estimating, equipment, operations, quality control, and safety departments for IHC's operations nationwide. The corporate office facilities consist of 10,000 sf of office space located in the Centennial Airport Business Center in Englewood, with IHC's maintenance, shop and yard facilities located on 8 acres of property in Commerce City, a northern suburb of Denver, Colorado.
The Denver Division is an expert in the construction management of complex projects requiring high sophistication in subcontractor coordination, contractor quality control and critical path scheduling. This division also has the tools and expertise for quality, high production slipform concrete paving in the Denver metroplitan marketplace. This outstanding division can provide, among many other features:
IHC has grown from a modest beginning as a small shoulder paving and flatwork subcontractor in Michigan in 1947 into one of the nation's foremost leaders in the concrete paving industry. The IHC Midwest Division comprises the most experienced group of managers, supervisors and key hourly employees of any IHC division. It proudly carries the banner as the "roots" of our company and carefully nurtures and improves upon a tradition of quality and on-time service to our customers.
IHC Midwest has successfully completed a broad range of projects from the simple to the most complex urban reconstruction projects in the Michigan highway network. It has received numerous Michigan DOT and Michigan Concrete Paving Association awards for quality projects, excellence in smoothness and incentives for early completion. This IHC team is ready to serve your needs with substantial experience in construction management, recycling, overlays, reconstruction, minor grading, utility and base work.
The IHC Southwest Division has experienced and well-trained operatives with state-of-the-art specialty equipment designed for the task. This division is dedicated to providing quality workmanship, on-time performance and innovation on the most complex and difficult airfield and highway projects. The construction of over 3 million square yards of airfield and landside concrete pavement and installation of over 4 million square yards of high quality heavy-duty airfield pavement at the new Denver International Airport over the past five years fine-tuned our successful management structure. This team has accomplished the following:
The West Division has specialized in concrete pavement construction and reconstruction of highways, streets, parking lots and general aviation airports in Colorado and Wyoming, Texas and the Southwest United States since 1978. This division can proudly count, among its many accomplishments, the following:
The New Mexico Division (NMD) was started in 2012. However, the division has roots that go back more than 85 years. The management team and many of the craftsmen came from a contracting company that was started in 1927. Members of the NMD team have consistently led the way in complex highway and heavy civil construction projects throughout the southwest. The NMD has a team-oriented work environment that helps attract and retain some of the most talented individuals in the industry.
The NMD is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico and constructs projects in the New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. The key to our success is our dependable, safety-conscious team members, and we work hard to guarantee that projects are built safely, on schedule, and on budget.
The New Mexico team has capabilities in heavy and highway construction, but has a special interest in bridges and structures. The NMD reputation was built with projects like the Kirtland Air Force Base Design Build projects, San Mateo & I-40 Interchange and the Zaragoza Flyover. The NMD has built major bridges in New Mexico and Texas. We specialize in complex urban interchanges with tight schedules. We attribute our award-winning success to our top-notch team and our commitment to the original founding principles of experience, expertise, and excellence.
The team's reputation is built on the quality work we build. In the past decade, for our efforts and commitment to quality, members of the team have received the ACPA National Best of the Best Award; National Award for Excellence; Projects of the Year; Nation Quality Achievement and seven New Mexico Highway National Quality Initiative Awards.
